Proverbs 1:28 KJV Then shall they call upon me, but I will not answer; they shall seek me early, but they shall not find me: 29 For that they hated knowledge, and did not choose the fear of the Lord: 30 They would none of my counsel: they despised all my reproof. 31 Therefore shall they eat of the fruit of their own way, and be filled with their own devices.
America as a whole is turning away from the true living God. Europe kicked out God a long time ago and now they are being destroyed from within and without. Somehow, America doesn’t or refuses to see the same thing is in the works for her. But these articles show we as a nation have reached the tipping point of turning away from God.
Romans chapter 1 lays out this very progression of people and societies once they refuse to worship God as Creator. They think they’re moving toward “enlightenment” but they are moving deeper into dark chaos. The changes we see in the moral fabric of society did not happen overnight, though it seems so, and immorality is nothing new, it has only been repackaged. The sins we face today are built upon the sins of the past. God is morally holy and perfect in His ways. He is order and peace, so the further we move away from God the more active immorality, chaos, and violence becomes. There are many asking, how did things move so far to the left? Where did it all go wrong? To find true answers you must find the root or origin.
To walk in opposition to God is to walk in opposition to the Truth which means you’re walking in the direction of and on the path of deception. A huge part of the lie that is believed is, we are born good and life influences us negatively. In response to this theory education, philosophy, self help, etc. has been used to try and change peoples character (behavior). This has not been achieved yet. As a matter of fact we are going backwards in moral behavior even as we move forward in technology. Why?
Genesis 3 is the foundation of all that is wrong with the moral compass of humans.
Proverbs 1 provides the outline: 1) hates the knowledge of God 2) chooses not to fear God 3) rejects His counsel and 4) hates His discipline
I have always found it interesting that people hate Someone they deny exists. But in order to believe there will be no retribution for ungodly and immoral behavior, the living God of scripture can’t exist. And that is why it is called a deception, lie. Proverbs 1 tells us, just like Romans 1:24,26,28, there comes a time when God gives people over to their sins.
As a believer I know that time is coming. The obstacles of believers will be gone and the world will rejoice greatly, but it will not be for long because great suffering will follow as God pours His judgment out upon the earth.
Luke 21:25 KJV And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring; 26 Men’s hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken. 27 And then shall they see the Son of man coming in a cloud with power and great glory.
Before Christ’s return it will defy the imagination at how horrible it will be. You don’t want to be here. Heed the calling of Jesus Christ;
