The song “Imagine” by John Lennon tells us to “imagine the world will be as one.” This is possible when we “Imagine there is no heaven, no hell, no countries, no possessions…” Imagine Lyrics (Learn about this song)
An article by WND has a video of different celebrities singing the song “Imagine” by John Lennon.
The concept of the world being one without God is not new.
History Of Bringing One World Unity
Satan was the first to attempt to usurp God and was thrown from heaven with the promise of eternally being in hell (Isaiah 14:13-14, Revelation 19:20).
Then we find people in Genesis 11 who were afraid God would scatter them all over the world. Their solution was to build a city and tower to protect them. They didn’t succeed either (Genesis 11:4-9).
Last but not least, there will be one more attempt at world unity.
There is coming a time when this wish will come true. A leader (Antichrist) comes forward and seems to have all the solutions to the world’s problems. Imagine no more believers. No more having to hear about Christ, sin, hell, and His resurrection. Life is great. If you believe this you have not read holy scripture.
Who Will Come?
Psalm 11:4 KJV The Lord is in his holy temple, the Lord’s throne is in heaven: his eyes behold, his eyelids try, the children of men.
Matthew 6:9 KJV After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. 10 Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.
The living Lord God Almighty is in heaven. He is on His throne. This denotes His sovereignty over all.
What Is The Future For The Wicked?
Psalm 9:17 The wicked shall be turned into hell, and all the nations that forget God.
Matthew 10:28 KJV And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.
Hell is a real place. What are you really imagining?
Who Is Our Hope?
Ephesians 2:11 KJV Wherefore remember, that ye being in time past Gentiles in the flesh, who are called Uncircumcision by that which is called the Circumcision in the flesh made by hands; 12 That at that time ye were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world: 13 But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ.
Without Christ you are already in this world without God. And hope the world offers is dead hope.
Our real hope, the only living hope, is found in Jesus Christ.
