By now, everyone around the world knows about the Israeli and Gaza war. But what happened may surprise you. Israel allowed their neighbors to come in and work. They did this for a while and became complacent because they overlooked the deception of their enemy. They forgot what they knew. Therefore, Israel was deceived, thinking they could befriend those in Gaza, which caused them to drop their guard.
On October 7, 2023, Hamas executed a well-planned surprise attack on Israel. Israel was in no way prepared for this type of aggressive move onto their soil. Which brought Israel into the position of fighting for its very existence.
“This Saturday attack happened because of a *bleep* stupid conception. It was clear from the first moment that there was intelligence information, but its interpretation was that it was only an exercise. The notion that if we gave them more jobs they would be quiet because ‘they can be bought’ completely exploded in our faces.”

Israel Was Deceived
Why did this nation, which is surrounded by enemies, let its guard down that much? Because Israel believed they could cooperate with Palestinians by offering them jobs within Israel. They allowed 25,000 to enter daily to work. If you allow your enemy within your borders, there must be some type of trust. However, they were deceived.
This deception creates a false peace. Israel had one thought, and the Palestinians had another. Their enemy was making plans for war in secret. While promoting peace on the surface. This deception came because they forgot the characteristics of the enemy.
Psalm 83:2-5 BSB; 2 See how Your enemies rage, how Your foes have reared their heads. 3 With cunning they scheme against Your people and conspire against those You cherish, 4 saying, “Come, let us erase them as a nation; may the name of Israel be remembered no more.” 5 or with one mind they plot together, they form an alliance against You—
Israel Reaches Out to America For Help
Israel reaches out for help by asking the President of the United States. Netanyahu says:
“I want to thank President Biden for his unequivocal support, I want to thank leaders across the world who are standing with Israel today, I want to thank the people and Congress of the United States of America”
Is this a wise choice at this current time? Before we answer this question, let’s take a brief look at the Old Testament. In Isaiah 36, the Assyrians were going to invade Judah. They sent messengers ahead to tell them the following.
Isaiah 36:4-6 BSB; 4 The Rabshakeh said to them, “Tell Hezekiah that this is what the great king, the king of Assyria, says: What is the basis of this confidence of yours? 5 You claim to have a strategy and strength for war, but these are empty words. In whom are you now trusting, that you have rebelled against me? 6 Look now, you are trusting in Egypt, that splintered reed of a staff that will pierce the hand of anyone who leans on it. Such is Pharaoh king of Egypt to all who trust in him…. 9 For how can you repel a single officer among the least of my master’s servants when you depend on Egypt for chariots and horsemen?
Since October 7, Israel and Gaza are fully engaged in war. Gaza, like the Assyrians, are challenging Israel’s strength and power. They laugh and mock Israel, asking where is your help. We know about America.
Per the video and many articles, Israel asked America for help. We did send military equipment and other aid to help Israel. But just like Judah, can Israel trust the current American government?
Can Israel Trust the American Government?
Simply put, the answer is no. Because just like in Isaiah, the American government is saying one thing, but their motivation is something different. Therefore, Israel should not trust the current American government. For right now, the U.S. is helping Israel, but at what cost to Israel?
“Republicans have castigated President Joe Biden’s administration for freeing up $6 billion in funds for Iran’s Islamist regime, money that likely contributed to Tehran’s funding of Hamas, the genocidal terrorist group that slaughtered more than 1,400 Israelis and took about 200 hostage Oct. 7″
$6B Prisoner Swap Was ‘Just a Drop in the Bucket’ for Iran. Here’s How Much Tehran Has Raked in Under Biden.
“According to The Daily Signal’s calculations, Iran has received approximately $71.02 billion more under Biden than it would have under Trump. Biden repeatedly has said that there is no “specific evidence” showing that Tehran had any involvement in the Hamas terrorist attack, but Iran has funded Hamas for years.”
“The revelations do not end there. U.S. officials have also quietly acknowledged that they’ve uncapped Iranian oil exports to China. These export levels, previously held around 775,000 barrels per day under Trump’s sanctions, are now estimated to be between 1.4 and 2.2 million barrels per day. Modest estimates value this relief at $25 billion annually.”
The U.S. Money Trail With Iran Is Worse Than You Think
We only selected these three publications, but there are many more that demonstrate the American government’s intentions. Israel should not trust the American government. Their actions have shown clearly who they are for. The bible tells us at some point Israel will have no allies, Zechariah 12:3. So, what was the deception that Israel overlooked?
Conclusion
The deception that was overlooked is you cannot have peace with your enemy, Psalm 120:7. Israel was blindsided, thinking they could live peacefully alongside those who hate them. They paid a high price that morning on October 7th, but have they learned from this decision?
The bottom line is that many want Israel’s land to call their own. America’s government is not Israel’s friend because Biden is pushing for a two-state solution which will divide Israel.
God warns against dividing Jerusalem and His land (Joel 3:2; Zechariah 12:3-4). But, the war over Israel’s land will not end until the return of Christ.
The bible says, “On that day, when all the nations of the earth gather against her, I will make Jerusalem a heavy stone for all the peoples; all who would heave it away will be severely injured.” Are they listening, and what decision will they make next?
Pray for the Peace of Jerusalem, and pray for those involved in this war to seek Jesus the Christ as their Lord and Savior.
