Proverbs 12:25 KJV Heaviness in the heart of man maketh it stoop: but a good word maketh it glad.
Anxiety is the feeling of fear, dread, sorrow, etc. It is not a good or godly feeling. Today anxiety abounds as the world we know changes before our very eyes and not for the better.
Psalm 46:10 KJV Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth.
Christianity is being redefined to include immoral acts and attitudes that God calls sin. There is the call among “Christian” leaders to abandon the Old Testament, 10 commands, and the book of Revelation is of no use. The One World Religion is beginning to form while persecution of believers is increasing.
How do we fight the fear and sorrow? How do we keep our joy when we see the “handwriting on the wall?” We receive a good word, that is a better word that what the world is offering.
Hebrews 10:23 KJV Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;) 24 And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works: 25 Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.
Our faith is in the One who is faithful to His promises and His word. Know your scripture and do not allow Satan to convince you differently. Talk to other true believers who are watching The Day of the Lord approaching but are encouraged as they desire to be with their Savior. Get your mind off yourself. Pray you are a light of God’s love in someone’s dark loneliness and despair. Pray your faith is proven by doing the good works God preplanned for you (Eph. 2:8-10).
Philippians 4:4-9 tells us how to have the right attitude. Rejoice in the Lord ALWAYS. Yes, ALWAYS. Not yelling cause I know how hard this is in the face of great difficulty. But because of the suffering I know our joy is in the Lord only and happy is fickle and fleeting. This leads to thanking God for the hardship, trial, suffering, because we know all that God has done for us and He will never leave or forsake us in the middle of our suffering. He is right there with us leading us through to the other side closer to Him and loving Him all the more. So, preserve until the peace of God covers your mind and heart. When others watch us go through devastation with joy and peace that is not humanly possible, they will ask, how are you holding up like this. Be ready to give an answer.
Psalm 9:1 KJV I will praise thee, O Lord, with my whole heart; I will shew forth all thy marvellous works. 2 I will be glad and rejoice in thee: I will sing praise to thy name, O thou most High.
Tell of the marvellous work of the cross of Christ.
