Standing In The Faith God – Word of Encouragement

Jude 1:3 KJV Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints.

The book of Jude is very small but has a lot to say about false teachers and teachings which makes it very relevant today. The church is full of false teachings by false teachers. They have taught the masses well because the “church” embraces the ways of the world all in the name of Jesus. Jude wanted to write about the salvation they have in common but God had other ideas, so he wrote about our faith. He tells those who believe to “earnestly content for the faith.”  What does this mean?

This means we are to be defenders of the truth, of the gospel of God. This does not mean to argue but to be committed to holding up our faith. We are watching the world and our nation succumb to evil which can be and at times is very disheartening. For me personally, it is when it comes to the little children but I have to always remember God’s truth will come out victorious and all liars and all lies will be revealed. When we received Christ as our Lord and Saviour we became the enemy of Satan and a traitor to his kingdom. He comes against any true believer who is a threat to him. We see this every time a believer refuses to give in to political correctness and is punished or is killed for their faith. As someone who sees the writing on the wall I encourage you to know God’s word in order to at all times actively struggle to defend your faith in the name of Jesus, the Son of God. This is not to argue about religion it is to shine light in someone’s darkness through the word of God.

1 Peter 3:14 KJV But and if ye suffer for righteousness’ sake, happy are ye: and be not afraid of their terror, neither be troubled; 15 But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear:

How are we sanctified, John 17:17, the truth which is God’s word. The world is steadily marching toward wanting someone, anyone, to stop the madness and though there will only be a few who will be seeking truth, we as believers, must make sure when God brings that opportunity our way we are able to correctly tell them about salvation, our faith, our hope, our God and why. The time is quickly approaching when nothing will matter except to know Christ and Him crucified and the power of His resurrection, 1 Corinthians 2:2, Philippians 3:10.

Let us keep our eyes looking up for:

1 Corinthians 15:52 KJV In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. 53 For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality. 54 So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory. 55 O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory? 56 The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law. 57 But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. 58 Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.
