What Lord Do You Serve
A passionate message on what Lord do you serve. Many of us do not see who we serve each day in our life, but if you get on your knees and pray humbly to the Lord He will reveal your sins that are separating you from Him. The last thing you want to be is separated from the Lord.
Isaiah 59:2 But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear.
2 Thessalonians 1:8-10 8 dealing out retribution to those who do not know God and to those who do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus. 9 These will pay the penalty of eternal destruction, away from the presence of the Lord and from the glory of His power, 10 when He comes to be glorified in His saints on that day, and to be marveled at among all who have believed-- for our testimony to you was believed.
We hope this powerful message will unveil the lies and show you Truth, God Bless You.
HERE IS A SNEAK PEEK OF PART 1 OF THIS BIBLE STUDY
The good shepherd gives his life for the sheep. No man takes my life for me but I lay it down of myself with His stripes we are healed. The Lord has laid on Him the iniquity of us all. He shall bear their iniquities. The Son of Man came to give his life a ransom for many. When he had by himself purged our sins. CH Spurgeon says that all his theology is condensed into four words. He died for me. The only passport to heaven is the inner assurance that we have been saved by his matchless grace.
Isaiah 52 says For many the servant of God became an object of horror His face and His whole appearance were marred more than any man and his form beyond that of the sons of men. But just as many were astonished at him. For the servant of God grew up before him like a tender plant and like a root out of dry ground; He has no form, no royal, no kingly pomp that we should look at him and no beauty that we should desire him. He was despised and rejected a man of sorrows and pains, and acquainted with grief and sickness, and like one from whom men hide their faces he was despised. We did not appreciate his work. Surely he has borne our griefs and carried our sorrows and pains of punishment. Yet we ignorantly considered him stricken and afflicted by God. But he was wounded for our transgressions he was bruised for our guilt and iniquities and the chastisement needful to obtain peace and well being for us was upon him and with the stripes that wounded him we are made whole. But we all like sheep have gone astray. We have turned every one to his own way and the Lord has made to light upon him the guilt of us all.
Today we're going to talk about this Jesus. I've been reading an enormous amount. I always read as I continue to read. I am finding out that there are those who believe in a Jesus other than this Jesus. So today we're going to hopefully understand about this Jesus because the other one is immaterial. The traditionalist reaction is understandable is talking about a book that a man named Rob Bell wrote. He argues about heaven and hell and raises doubts about the core of the evangelical worldview. Changing the common understanding of salvation so much that Christianity becomes more of an ethical habit of mind than a faith based on Divine Revelation. When you adopt universalism and erase the distinction between the church and the world then you don't need the church. You don't need Christ and you don't need the cross. This is the tragedy of nonjudgmental mainline liberalism and Rob Bell's tragedy is in this book.
Rob Bell has a church. So my question would be on this day what is he preaching. Because Jesus came and died to have victory over death. Jesus has the keys to death hell and the grave. So what is he preaching on today. The most emphatic statement concerning the identity of the Mormon Jesus doesn't come from an evangelical source but rather from the Mormon president himself. He was speaking to a gathering of sixty six hundred Mormon missionaries. And this is what he said. This is the man who is the president over the Latter Day Saints Church and he said and bearing testimony of Jesus Christ. The president spoke of those outside the church who say Latter day Saints do not believe in the traditional Christ. And this was his answer. No I don't!
The traditional Christ of whom they speak is not the Christ of whom I speak for the Christ of whom I speak has been revealed in this the dispensation of the fullness of time. The Lord has declared that this church the Church of the Latter-Day Saints is the only True and Living Church upon the face of the whole earth. They have a different Jesus than I have. This didn't come from someone outside of the Church of Mormonism this came from the very president himself. AW Tozer in the old cross and the new drew a line between true courage and lukewarm compromise. The question is which side do you stand on. We who preach the gospel must not think of ourselves as public relation agents sent to establish good will between Christ and the church. We must not imagine ourselves commissioned to make Christ acceptable to big business, the press, the world of sports, or education.
We are not diplomats but profit and our message is not a compromise but an ultimatum. That's what today is. Today is about an ultimatum. Today is about the Son of God who descended from heaven to come and to pay the ultimate sacrifice with the sins of all men and it is an ultimatum every day. In Deuteronomy God said I had set before you today life and death, blessing and curse choose life. He doesn't even think that we're able to choose the right answer. Is He correct? It's today.
Are you choosing life and blessing are you choosing death and curses because it is today. Do we celebrate a Jesus? Is our belief in a Jesus? Did God except a Jesus? in Matthew 27 Pilate said to them then what shall I do with a Jesus who is called Christ. What is being done with Jesus who is called Christ.
