Fear, confusion, loss, and anger have driven many to despair. What do we need to know?
We need to know the LORD will be merciful and kind. He loves us with a deep and rich love. The love of our heavenly Father remains with us always. God does not withdraw His love even during times of discipline and testing (Psalms 86:5, 136:26, Proverbs 3:11-12; Ephesians 2:4; Hebrews 12:6).
Stay in the word of God for comfort and guidance in your thoughts. When fear, anxiety, and confusion come, read God’s word and let His word govern your thoughts.
Nahum 1:7 KJV The Lord is good, a strong hold in the day of trouble; and he knoweth them that trust in him.
Let us run to God when life hems us in, when the lies and wickedness of the world seeks to kill, steal, and destroy us (John 10:10).
So many bought the deceptions this world offers. That includes its temporary and illusional form of happiness.
Psalm 16:11 NASB You will make known to me the way of life; In Your presence is fullness of joy; In Your right hand there are pleasures forever.
Luke 2:8-11 NASB In the same region there were some shepherds staying out in the fields and keeping watch over their flock at night. 9 And an angel of the Lord suddenly stood near them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them; and they were terribly frightened. 10 And so the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid; for behold, I bring you good news of great joy which will be for all the people; 11 for today in the city of David there has been born for you a Savior, who is Christ the Lord.
Psalm 56:3 What time I am afraid, I will trust in thee. 4 In God I will praise his word, in God I have put my trust; I will not fear what flesh can do unto me.
