Newsom Adds Bible Verse to Promote Abortion

Home / Daily Biblical News / Newsom Adds Bible Verse to Promote Abortion

Proverbs 6:16-19 NASB1995 16 There are six things which the Lord hates, Yes, seven which are an abomination to Him: 17 Haughty eyes, a lying tongue, And hands that shed innocent blood, 18 A heart that devises wicked plans, Feet that run rapidly to evil, 19 A false witness who utters lies, And one who spreads strife among brothers.

Gavin Newsom Uses God’s Word to Promote Abortion

Gavin Newsom is twisting the truth and using it as an argument to promote the shedding of innocent blood. He is not only promoting abortion, he wants to cause strife in states that have strong anti-abortion laws.

How do we know this?

These billboards will be put in “anti-freedom” states that protect the life of the most helpless.

“Last Thursday, Gov. Gavin Newsom posted images on social media showing billboards set to go up in Texas, Oklahoma, Mississippi, and four other “anti-freedom” states where abortion is prohibited or significantly restricted.”

Gavin Newsom Adds mark 12:31 to His Billboard

On one of his billboards, Gavin adds Mark 12:31 which is out of context with his intent.

“The billboard partially quotes Mark 12:31: “Love your neighbor as yourself. There is no greater commandment than these.”

This is what Mark 12:31 actually means.

Love in this scripture means: Cognate: 25 agapáō – properly, to prefer, to love; for the believer, preferring to “live through Christ” (1 Jn 4:9,10), i.e. embracing God’s will (choosing His choices) and obeying them through His power. 25 (agapáō) preeminently refers to what God prefers as He “is love” (1 Jn 4:8,16). See 26 (agapē). by The Discovery Bible – used with permission

Love means to do the will of God. Which is to hate what God hates and to love what God loves. God hates abortion, shedding of innocent blood!

Proverbs 6:17 NASB1995 Haughty eyes, a lying tongue, And hands that shed innocent blood,

Commandment means: 1785 entolḗ (a feminine noun derived from 1722 /en, “in,” which intensifies 5056 /télos, “reach the end, consummation”) – properly, “in the end,” focusing on the end-result (objective) of a command. [1785 /entolḗ (a feminine noun) highlights the nature of a specific order (charge), i.e. its “in-context objective.”by The Discovery Bible – used with permission

The commandments of God will bring everyone to an end result when they stand before the Lord.

Summary: Mark actually means, Jesus is telling us to fulfill all the law, we are to love the Lord God with all their heart, mind, and soul. This kind of love is Ephesians 3:17-19. To “love your neighbor as yourself“, must be defined by God and not man.

Is God surprised that His word is being used for evil? No

Isaiah 5:20-21 NASB1995 20 Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil; Who substitute darkness for light and light for darkness; Who substitute bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter! 21 Woe to those who are wise in their own eyes And clever in their own sight!

Will God allow His word to be used for evil without taking action? No

Deuteronomy 5:11 NASB1995 11 You shall not take the name of the Lord your God in vain, for the Lord will not leave him unpunished who takes His name in vain.

Conclusion of Gavin Newsom’s Decision

This decision that Mr. Newsom made will not be forgotten in heaven. God will hold him accountable for the ungodly use of his word. God does not change.

Hebrews 13:8 KJV, Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.

Malachi 3:6 KJV, For I am the LORD, I change not; therefore ye sons of Jacob are not consumed.

Numbers 23:19 KJV, God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?

Deuteronomy is a promise of the action God will take against those who use His name in vain.

Every word from Genesis to Revelation will come to pass. Much already has, but for the ungodly, the worst is yet to come.

Now is the day of salvation. We cannot pay for our sins through our works of the flesh (Ephesians 2:8-10). Jesus is the only Way, Truth, and Life. No one goes before God except through faith in the Son of God, Jesus the Christ (John 3:16-18, 14:6; 1 Peter 3:18).

Jesus is alive and He is coming. Are you ready to meet your perfect and holy Creator?
