Psalm 139:13 KJV For thou hast possessed my reins: thou hast covered me in my mother’s womb. 14 I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well. 15 My substance was not hid from thee, when I was made in secret, and curiously wrought in the lowest parts of the earth. 16 Thine eyes did see my substance, yet being unperfect; and in thy book all my members were written, which in continuance were fashioned, when as yet there was none of them.
“A mother who was told her baby would die and that she should have an abortion has shared how she clung on to hope and gave birth.” Can you imagine hearing those words, abort your baby or your baby is going to die? This is where our faith comes in and we need to pray for God’s peace and comfort during such a difficult time. On top of giving information about the outcome of her baby they told her the baby was a boy. None of this matter the mother had one single focus, “I didn’t know if I was strong enough to go through it but I couldn’t give up on my baby.”
God is the One who forms us in our mother’s womb. He watches over us as we grow in the womb. What did God know the doctors did not? The baby was a girl not a boy. She was fully developed and is doing well. Children are a blessing from God.
Do I understand why some are born perfect and others have disabilities? No. God does form each person for His honor and His glory, this is what I do know.
Isaiah 44:24 KJV Thus saith the Lord, thy redeemer, and he that formed thee from the womb, I am the Lord that maketh all things; that stretcheth forth the heavens alone; that spreadeth abroad the earth by myself;
