First Seal – Tribulation Begins and The Rider is To Conquer

John has witnessed worship in Revelation chapters 4&5 that compares to nothing we know. He witnessed pure and holy worship. He witnessed the very essence of worshipping in spirit and truth, Nehemiah 9:6.

John is at the throne room of God witnessing worship and hearing;

John Witnessing The Throne Room

Revelation 4:8 KJV And the four beasts had each of them six wings about him; and they were full of eyes within: and they rest not day and night, saying, Holy, holy, holy, Lord God Almighty, which was, and is, and is to come.

Revelation 5:9 KJV And they sung a new song, saying, Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation;

Jesus As The Lamb Of God

John knew Jesus had come from heaven to earth and after His resurrection had gone back to heaven. John knew Jesus had come to manifest the love and character of God the Father for people to see. But now, John sees Jesus as, “the Lamb Who was slain before the foundation of the world” and He alone is worthy to open the seals because He has “redeemed us to God by His blood.” The taking back of the earth is about to commence.

Christ died a horrific death on the cross to pay for our sins and now the judgment of God is coming, to pay each person according to their works, to end Satan’s rule, and send Satan, the fallen angels, and anyone whose name is not written in the book of life to eternal damnation. God’s creation will once again and forever be a reflection of His glory. But first there will be suffering, pain, torment, and destruction on a scale never witnessed before.

First Seal Begins In Revelation 6

Revelation 6:1 KJV And I saw when the Lamb opened one of the seals, and I heard, as it were the noise of thunder, one of the four beasts saying, Come and see. 2 And I saw, and behold a white horse: and he that sat on him had a bow; and a crown was given unto him: and he went forth conquering, and to conquer.

Jesus has warned the church in Revelation chapters 3&4 and the church is not mentioned again until chapter 19. The church is gone and the Day of the Lord has begun.

People will be going about their daily lives when all of a sudden people are missing. Chaos begins because people who are driving, flying planes, and working have disappeared. Things are crashing, loved ones are gone, and most have no idea what just happened. Fear is everywhere. The world will be begging for someone, anyone, to step up and bring order back into society.

This is where the Anit-christ enters. But the Anti-christ will not be announcing his true intention in the beginning, which is to go about conquering and to conquer.

conquer – 3528- nikao (from 3529/nike, “victory”) – properly, conquer (overcome); “‘to carry off the victory, …’ The verb implies a battle” (K. Wuest). HELPS Word-studies

Satan, in the beginning, will conquer and go about conquering with smooth talk and a smile. He will do what he does now. He shows up appearing as a light when in reality his plans are of the darkest evil.

As we go through these chapters always remember what is taking place is exactly what God planned. The book of Revelation is a book of promises and warnings. The Day of the Lord is coming.

Amos 5:18 KJV Woe unto you that desire the day of the Lord! to what end is it for you? the day of the Lord is darkness, and not light. 19 As if a man did flee from a lion, and a bear met him; or went into the house, and leaned his hand on the wall, and a serpent bit him. 20 Shall not the day of the Lord be darkness, and not light? even very dark, and no brightness in it?

There Will Be No Place To Hide

Isaiah 13 is a prophecy of the destruction Babylonian Empire and end time prophecy.

The destruction of the earth will come from the Invincible God. The Anti-christ is doing what God allows. God is in complete control of these events, in the past, now, and in the future (Isaiah v6).

Every man’s heart will fail. The fear caused by what they are witnessing and experiencing will be beyond their ability to cope (Isaiah v7, Luke 21:26).

The Day of the Lord comes with wrath that will turn the world into a place of horror (Isaiah v9).

The evil world, the wicked, and the proud will be punished and put to an end (Isaiah v11).

God will make the heavens shake and the earth will be shaken from its place in the wrath of the Lord of hosts because His anger is fierce in that day (Isaiah v13).

The Day Of Lord

There are many verses that describe “the Day of the Lord” and they all have the same description.

Zephaniah 3:8 KJV Therefore wait ye upon me, saith the Lord, until the day that I rise up to the prey: for my determination is to gather the nations, that I may assemble the kingdoms, to pour upon them mine indignation, even all my fierce anger: for all the earth shall be devoured with the fire of my jealousy.

Malachi 3:2 KJV But who may abide the day of his coming? and who shall stand when he appeareth? for he is like a refiner’s fire, and like fullers’ soap:

Revelation 6:15 KJV And the kings of the earth, and the great men, and the rich men, and the chief captains, and the mighty men, and every bondman, and every free man, hid themselves in the dens and in the rocks of the mountains; 16 And said to the mountains and rocks, Fall on us, and hide us from the face of him that sitteth on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb: 17 For the great day of his wrath is come; and who shall be able to stand?

How Will Anyone Withstand The Day of the Lord?

There are those who do not believe any of this and their church is not teaching this. Many doubt this and are afraid. The truth is every unbeliever is under the wrath of God now and will be left here to experience the wrath of God up close and personal.

John 3:36 KJV He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.

Faith in Jesus Christ changes our view of God, His Son, and His word and saves us from eternal hell. Our faith in Jesus Christ saves us from the wrath of God. Salvation comes by God’s grace through faith in Christ of which is a gift (Ephesians 2:8-10). Jesus is the only way to heaven.

1 Thessalonians 1:36 KJV He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.

    • What a great question. Thank you for asking. Here is the response.

—–> The rapture is before the tribulation.
Zephaniah 1:15 NASB 1995 A day of wrath is that day, A day of trouble and distress, A day of destruction and desolation, A day of darkness and gloom, A day of clouds and thick darkness,

1 Thessalonians 5 – The Day of the Lord

1 Now as to the periods and times, brothers and sisters, you have no need of anything to be written to you. 2 For you yourselves know full well that the day of the Lord is coming just like a thief in the night. 3 While they are saying, “Peace and safety!” then sudden destruction will come upon them like labor pains upon a pregnant woman, and they will not escape. 4 But you, brothers and sisters, are not in darkness, so that the day would overtake you like a thief; 5 for you are all sons of light and sons of day. We are not of night nor of darkness; 6 so then, let’s not sleep as others do, but let’s be alert and sober. 7 For those who sleep, sleep at night, and those who are drunk, get drunk at night. 8 But since we are of the day, let’s be sober, having put on the breastplate of faith and love, and as a helmet, the hope of salvation. 9 For God has not destined us for wrath, but for obtaining salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ, 10 who died for us, so that whether we are awake or asleep, we will live together with Him. 11 Therefore, encourage one another and build one another up, just as you also are doing.

Romans 5:9 Much more then, having now been justified by His blood, we shall be saved from the wrath of God through Him.

Revelation 3:10 Because you have kept My word of perseverance, I also will keep you from the hour of the testing, that hour which is about to come upon the whole world, to test those who live on the earth.
