The news today about the church is not good. The church is embracing sin, carrying out sin, covering up sin, etc. not to mention the false gospel that is preached and taught worldwide on a daily basis. It becomes hard to read and hear sometimes. And it is definitely disheartening. While nations that are still able to worship Christ Jesus without much blow back take it for granted, believers in nations that persecute them are fighting not only the good fight of faith but for their lives and the lives of those they love. Society as a whole is sick and twisted in the heart. On the surface it appears as if everything, including the earth, is coming apart at the seams. This is why it is so important to know what God said concerning the future. When we read in, 2 Timothy 3 & 2 Peter 3, the book of Revelation, and there are many more in the Old and New Testament, it calms the storm in our hearts. Evil is not winning. Sin is not advancing in the direction it perceives. God is on His throne being King of Kings and Lord of Lords.
Do not be deceived!
Jesus did not say salvation equals wealth and ease.
- Jesus said, you live for God, you will be persecuted.
- Jesus said, you tell others He is the Way, the Truth, and the Life you will be hated for His name sake.
- Jesus said, in this life you will have tribulations.
As things move toward the rapture of the true church and the 7 year tribulation, evil will grow and hatred of true believers will become more aggressive not just from unbelievers but the religious also. Do not be surprised it was the religious that hated Jesus the Christ.
Acts 2:36 KJV Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly, that God hath made the same Jesus, whom ye have crucified, both Lord and Christ. 37 Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, Men and brethren, what shall we do? 38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. 39 For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call. I pray we keep our eyes fixed on Christ and our hearts on the message of the good news.
