Will our lives go back to normal? There is so much chaos and confusion. Do those who seem to have the answers really have the answers? Who do you trust?
Does God Have a Plan?
Yes, God does have a plan. God laid out His plan in His word thousands of years ago. Many prophecies have been fulfilled but not all. We live in the time of watching exactly what God said would happen, happening. But no one wants to hear the hard truth. Instead they want to hear lies that make them feel safe.
What are we to do with the Truth very Few want to Hear?
Does God Warn Before Stressing Times Occur?
Yes, He does! All through the Old Testament and New Testament God warns constantly. Like in the book of Daniel and Revelation, among other books. God says there is nothing new under the sun (Ecclesiastes 1:9-10). So, what about those who warned long ago.
Daniel 7:28 NASB1995 “At this point the revelation ended. As for me, Daniel, my thoughts were greatly alarming me and my face grew pale, but I kept the matter to myself.”
God Shows Daniel a Vision of What is to Come
God showed Daniel Israel’s future and it was not good. He did not understand what he was told but the picture of the coming events caused him great fear and distress.
Isaiah was given the task of warning the people that judgment was coming. He was told they would be taken as captives and the land would be destroyed (Isaiah 6). It would be a very stressful message to hear. Then God tells Isaiah, the people would not be able to distinguish between truth and lies. And they could not discern what was happening around them (Isaiah 6:10).
Isaiah is like, how long do I have to do this?
Isaiah 6:11 NASB1995 Then I said, “Lord, how long?” And He answered, “Until cities are devastated and without inhabitant, Houses are without people And the land is utterly desolate,
The warning would not stop until the people were gone and their land was left desolate.
God Sends Jeremiah to Warn of Things to Come
Jeremiah 13:17 NASB1995 But if you will not listen to it, My soul will sob in secret for such pride; And my eyes will bitterly weep And flow down with tears, Because the flock of the Lord has been taken captive.
Jeremiah, too, was sent to worn Israel. But once again, Israel does not listen to God’s warning. Jeremiah weeps because their prideful and sinful ways will lead to the destruction of Jerusalem.
God is Warning Today but Many are not Heeding the Warning
People today, like in the days of Israel, refuse to hear the warnings of coming judgment. Those who know bible prophecy see the stage set and the actors moving into place to be used by God to bring death and destruction. It saddens the heart that society looks any and everywhere but up to their Creator for peace and safety.
We encourage you, do not shy away from biblical prophecy. This will help to open your eyes to truly see and make sense of the chaos and confusion occurring all around us. Only God can still our fears about what we see coming on the world. Do not fret the name calling, the hate, and the coldness. Instead be strong in the strength and power of our Lord Jesus Christ. Share His message of people’s desperate need to be reconciled to the Father through grace by faith in the name of the Son of God (Ephesians 2:8-10).
Let us encourage one another with these words of the Lord,
1 Thessalonians 5:8-11 NASB1995 But since we are of the day, let us be sober, having put on the breastplate of faith and love, and as a helmet, the hope of salvation. 9 For God has not destined us for wrath, but for obtaining salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ, 10 who died for us, so that whether we are awake or asleep, we will live together with Him. 11 Therefore encourage one another and build up one another, just as you also are doing.
