Why the news about Christians being persecuted? Because the persecution grows everywhere, including in America. The time is coming quickly when persecution will fill the earth.
Pastor Andrew Nyanma said, “We had been talking on several occasions but he was so argumentative when we touched on matters related to faith. He was a brilliant Muslim Imam but also respected other people’s faith. On this day, he was calm and receptive. He gave me humble time to explain to him why Christ is the only way to the Father. He repented of his sins and committed to following Christ.” by Persecution.org
The start of the persecution
Question: “How should a Christian respond to persecution?” Answer: There is no doubt that persecution is a stark reality of living the Christian life. Christian persecution is to be expected: the apostle Paul warned that “everyone who wants to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will be persecuted” (2 Timothy 3:12). Jesus said that, if they persecuted Him, they will also persecute His followers (John 15:20). Jesus made it clear that those of the world will hate Christians because the world hates Christ. If Christians were like the world—vain, earthly, sensual, and given to pleasure, wealth, and ambition—the world would not oppose us. But Christians do not belong to the world, which is why the world engages in Christian persecution (see John 15:18–19). Christians are influenced by different principles from those of the world. We are motivated by the love of God and holiness, while the world is driven by the love of sin. It is our very separation from the world that arouses the world’s animosity (1 Peter 4:3–4)… by GotQuestions
“Yusuf and his family were living in a house close to the Mosque where he was an Imam. Three days after he got saved, his wife Hashfa divorced him and left with two of their young children to her father’s home in Bugiri District. She left behind the two older children, Abudkriim 19, and Sauda 16.” by Persecution.org
He immediately lost his family (Matthew 10:34-36).
Then Yusuf Kintu paid the ultimate sacrifice
“Yusuf Kintu, a 41-year-old former Imam of Macca Mosque in Dolwe Island, Mayuge District was killed on December 7, 2020 by a Muslims mob. This attack came just a week after Yusuf converted to Christianity. According to Pastor Andrew Nyanma of the Full Gospel church Dolwe, Yusuf had put his faith in Christ on 30th November 2020 after hearing the gospel message.” by Persecution.org
Jesus told us because He was persecuted, we will be persecuted (John 15:18-25) . This has not happened world wide yet. But as the signs of the time progress persecution will become worldwide (Revelation 7; 13).
Jesus is coming. Are you ready?
