John 15:18-19 KJV If the world hate you, ye know that it hated me before it hated you. 19 If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you.
Do not be deceived by the distortion of the true gospel. God warns continually that believers will be persecuted for their faith in Jesus. China is not alone in their hatred toward God. What do we do?
How To Endure This Persecution
We pray for other believers. We support those in need as possible.
2 Corinthians 1:8-11 KJV For we would not, brethren, have you ignorant of our trouble which came to us in Asia, that we were pressed out of measure, above strength, insomuch that we despaired even of life: 9 But we had the sentence of death in ourselves, that we should not trust in ourselves, but in God which raiseth the dead: 10 Who delivered us from so great a death, and doth deliver: in whom we trust that he will yet deliver us; 11 Ye also helping together by prayer for us, that for the gift bestowed upon us by the means of many persons thanks may be given by many on our behalf.
Paul was in a situation where there was no way out. They believed they would die. His attitude toward his situation was to not trust in himself, but God. The one who raises us from the dead.
Our Prayer
Lord Jesus, we pray for Your peace to fill their hearts. Strengthen their faith to endure until the end. Comfort them with Your loving-kindness. Help all believers to view life through their eternal life with You. Amen
Matthew 5:11-12 KJV Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake. 12 Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you.
