Chick-fil-A No Longer Supporting Biblical Values
Times have not only changed but are changing quickly. Godly values are no longer seen as good. Chick-fil-A is one who sees no advantage to maintaining their stand on Godly morals. Many of you have already read or listened to what Chick-fil-A is doing and has done, but we want to shed some light into this kind of decision. This is one of those articles where you just need to line it up with the bible. So what happened and what does God say about this?
Chick-fil-A has made a decision to “no longer include donating to organizations like the Salvation Army, the Fellowship of Christian Athletes and the Paul Anderson Youth Home, Chick-fil-A says, all of which sparked criticism in the past from the LGBT community due to the organizations’ stances on homosexuality.” These charitable organizations clearly state their faith in Jesus Christ and their mission to spread the gospel of Christ.
Chick-fil-A Supporting Non-Christian Organizations
Now, Chick-fil- A will support organizations that do not focus on Christ but on integrity, honesty, and practical needs to helping others. Is there something wrong with these values, no. Unless they are apart from Christ. Then these values are worth nothing. Why? Because people get the credit for being good. God says no one is good (Psalm 53:1-3, Romans 3). How does God see our good works and values?
Isaiah 64:6 KJV 6 But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away.
The charities that will be unfunded make Christ the foundation from which someone lives. The new charities have the world for their foundation. True believers understand what is happening. But do you? When persecution comes decisions, for many, will be based off of fear, money and people pleasing. What about faith in God?
Chick-fil-A Says and God Says
FEAR:
Chick-fil-A said “There’s no question we know that, as we go into new markets, we need to be clear about who we are,” Chick-fil-A President and Chief Operating Officer Tim Tassopoulos said in an interview with Bisnow. “There are lots of articles and newscasts about Chick-fil-A, and we thought we needed to be clear about our message.“
God says Psalm 56:3 KJV What time I am afraid, I will trust in thee. 4 In God I will praise his word, in God I have put my trust; I will not fear what flesh can do unto me.
MONEY:
Chick-fil-A said “But after years of “taking it on the chin,” as a Chick-fil-A executive told Bisnow, the latest round of headlines was impossible to ignore. This time, it was impeding the company’s growth.“
God says 1 John 2:15 KJV Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. 16 For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. 17 And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.
PEOPLE PLEASING:
Chick-fil-A said “plans to change which charities it donates to after years of bad press and protests from the LGBT community“
God says Acts 4:18 KJV And they called them, and commanded them not to speak at all nor teach in the name of Jesus. 19 But Peter and John answered and said unto them, Whether it be right in the sight of God to hearken unto you more than unto God, judge ye. 20 For we cannot but speak the things which we have seen and heard.
What Should Have Been Done
Ask for prayer. Many Christians support Christian companies. However, the company professing to be biblically based keeps in mind;
Mark 8:36 KJV For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?
Every day all people choose if they will walk on the narrow path or wide path. These two paths lead to one of two places. The narrow path leads to eternal life and the wide path leads to eternal destruction (Matthew 7:13-14). The enemy thinks they won and Chick-fil-A thinks they are out of the limelight. But in reality they both lost in terms of eternity. God has set before us:
Deuteronomy 30:15-20 KJV 15 See, I have set before thee this day life and good, and death and evil; 16 In that I command thee this day to love the Lord thy God, to walk in his ways, and to keep his commandments and his statutes and his judgments, that thou mayest live and multiply: and the Lord thy God shall bless thee in the land whither thou goest to possess it. 17 But if thine heart turn away, so that thou wilt not hear, but shalt be drawn away, and worship other gods, and serve them; 18 I denounce unto you this day, that ye shall surely perish, and that ye shall not prolong your days upon the land, whither thou passest over Jordan to go to possess it…
What Will You Serve
God tells us about serving money (Mathew 6:24) and giving into our fears (Matthew 10:28). Fear was a big stronghold in my life. I prayed for God to destroy this stronghold. I did not want to serve fear anymore. Fear had tormented me for over 20 years. I wanted freedom. You do not need to be in jail physically to experience the lack of freedom. Fear will bind you and keep you locked up mentally and emotionally. Serving money and fear leads to death not life, freedom and joy. Only one person can set you FREE and give you JOY and PEACE;
John 8:32 KJV And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.
Romans 14:17 KJV For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost.
The bible is the lamp to our feet (Psalm 119:105). The bible tells us how God expects us to handle fear, money and people pleasing. But the word of God will not matter if you do not have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Religion and works will not get you into heaven. From personal experience, I can assure you that religion will get you no where but heartache, wasted time and a lot of confusion.
What Does This Have To Do With Me?
There are those who lost their business and everything for standing in God’s truth. However, there will be many companies and people who will turn from God’s moral values.
Why are things getting so heated? Because Satan knows his time is short before God implements His plan. The question is where will you be when this is in your face. Chick-fil-A made their decision. We pray they are convicted and brought to repentance. This decision will have a great ripple effect. But this doesn’t keep many believers from being saddened by this decision. What is the true focal point? One day soon people will come after you. What decision will you make if?
- Your job no longer supports Christian values and you cannot talk about it.
- Your company wants you to lie about whatever.
- Your business will be attacked by those who hate Jesus Christ, what will you say?
- Your child will be taken from you if you teach them biblical values, what will you do?
- Your …. fill in the blank
This list could go on. Make this personal because it is. The LGBTQ… community is just one of many that does not hold biblical values. The true Christians will be seen as haters. Will you continue to stand in your faith and profess Jesus as Lord or will you buckle under pressure and glorify the kingdom of evil.
We pray each day that the Lord gives us what we need to sustain the time we are in. Apart from God, I absolutely cannot do anything but with God I can stand in Him. Who will you choose to serve this day?
