Can One Be a Christian and Be For Abortion Rights?

Home / Daily Biblical News / Can One Be a Christian and Be For Abortion Rights?

We may find ourself, at times, questioning God as the absolute authority on good and evil. This is why faith is our good fight.

1 Timothy 6:12 KJV 12 Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses.

Without faith we lean to our own understanding and we can not please God. In the article we are given the end result of Shannon Dingle leaning to her reasoning. Her stand went from pro-life to promoting and supporting abortion “rights.”  She says, “I’m not pro-life anymore, not in the political sense.”

This is her reason for the change, “she no longer identifies as pro-life and takes issue that pro-lifers leave no “grey” area for circumstances such as hers”.

Bible teaching on “How To Have Faith During The Storms Of Life”
How do we maintain our faith in Jesus Christ during the storms of our life? These storms test our faith, character and who we stand in. What help does God give us in His word regarding the storms of life… read more

She states the “pro-life movement’s argumentation as “propaganda” in her piece”.

Is there grey in God’s word? Is the biblical stance on abortion propaganda? What does God say about sin?

God is Light and there is no darkness (sin) in Him. God’s name is Holy. Do we really believe God accepts our sinful behavior because we have reasons?

She is not alone in her thinking. There are many on the broad path embracing the ways of the world believing it leads to heaven (Matthew 7:13-14).

She did state one thing right, living in union with Christ is absent of grey when it comes to sin.

Psalm 97:10 KJV Ye that love the Lord, hate evil:

Psalm 6:16 KJV These six things doth the Lord hate: yea, seven are an abomination unto him: 17 A proud look, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood, 18 An heart that deviseth wicked imaginations, feet that be swift in running to mischief, 19 A false witness that speaketh lies, and he that soweth discord among brethren.

We each have 2 choices, obey or disobey God’s word. Somewhere along the way Shannon Dingle decided against God’s word.

The embracing of darkness as good increases everyday. We hope you stand and finish your race. This is the message we take to those dying in the darkness of their sin. Unrepentant sin leads to death eternal. The good news of the Gospel invites sinners to receive forgiveness through faith in the Son of God for their sins.

Matthew 11:27-30 KJV All things are delivered unto me of my Father: and no man knoweth the Son, but the Father; neither knoweth any man the Father, save the Son, and he to whomsoever the Son will reveal him. 28 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. 30 For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.

Whatever heavy burden of sin you carry, Jesus invites you to repent and believe in Him.

  1. What fellowship does light have with darkness?
I would rather be “unpopular” and right in the eyes of God..
