Is Removing the Ten Commandments a Big Deal?
There is an article titled “Workers Removing Ten Commandments From Oklahoma Capitol” that was posted today concerning the ten commandments. ABC News stated:
The 10 Commandments displayed on a granite monument at the Oklahoma State Capitol have been superseded by another commandment: Thou shalt not have a display on state property that supports "any sect, church, denomination or system of religion." And so the monument, which has sparked controversy since its installation in 2012 on the Capitol grounds in Oklahoma City, was taken away early Tuesday morning and transported to a conservative think tank for storage. more to read
There is no big deal being made about the removal of the 10 Commandments from the Oklahoma capitol and this is happening all across America. Do not be deceived into believing this is a peaceful solution, because there is plenty going on in heaven.
Jeremiah 13:17 If you won’t listen, I will cry secretly over your arrogance. I will cry bitterly, and my eyes will flow with tears because the Lord’s flock will be taken captive.
God was weeping because of Israel's pride. Why was He weeping, because He is a Holy God, and their pride in their unrepentant sin is going to lead them into captivity.
Today God is still weeping because of the pride of those who are His. As the Church of America continues to turn her back on God, follow people instead of God, and compromise instead of standing on the belief of "to live is Christ and to die is gain" then correction and judgment has no choice but to come. To stand for Christ in America does not mean physical death at this time. In America it means death to the things of this world, but it will lead to physical death very soon.
Luke 9:23 He said to all of them, “Those who want to come with me must say no to the things they want, pick up their crosses every day, and follow me.
Understand this where there is a void it will be filled. As God is removed, evil will take its place.
God is weeping but Satan is laughing. Satan is accusing the church in America of idolatry. Satan is reminding God of the generations of innocent children that have been murdered in the womb, he is reminding God of how much he has given America and how the prosperity has led to laziness, gluttony, and immorality just to name a few. God in his tears is showing the truth about abortion, the truth about what comes to a nation when God is removed. His grace and mercy are calling for His people to repent of their unholy and prideful ways.
Jesus said to Jerusalem in Matthew 23:37 “Jerusalem, Jerusalem, you kill the prophets and stone to death those sent to you! How often I wanted to gather your children together the way a hen gathers her chicks under her wings! But you were not willing!
This longing to protect has not changed however man has not changed either. We must understand that there is a line and when this line is crossed the Holy God has no choice but to sit in judgment to correct and lead into captivity.
The church needs to wake up because if the line has not already been crossed then it is but inches away.
If you call yourself a Christian, then ask yourself, when you are asked – “Are you Christian”, knowing seconds later you will be dead, what is your answer going to be. I'm not asking you how you will feel I am asking you what you will say.
God's desire is for none to perish. This is talking about eternal life not physical death. God's desire is for none to be destroyed but "whosoever will" to come to salvation through Jesus Christ.
2 Peter 3:9 The Lord isn’t slow to do what he promised, as some people think. Rather, he is patient for your sake. He doesn’t want to destroy anyone but wants all people to have an opportunity to turn to him and change the way they think and act.
Church please wake up!
God gives guidelines for living out of love for humanity, says famed evangelist and best-selling author the Rev. Billy Graham. In a recent advice column, Graham was asked why God gave mankind rules like the Ten Commandments if He already knew people were going to disobey. "Why did God give us a bunch of rules (like the Ten Commandments) that we're supposed to obey, when He knew we wouldn't keep them? Wouldn't it have been better for Him to just let us make up our own rules for living?" queried the person. Graham replied that rules for living are very important and explained that God did not give people guidelines "because He hates us" but rather because "God loves us." "God didn't give us the Ten Commandments (and similar statements, such as Jesus' Sermon on the Mount) because He hates us and wants to make our lives miserable," wrote Graham.... [read more]
