There are times in our lives when God’s love seems to be absent. We might be suffering under a hardship, and it seems as if God is nowhere to be found. Has God forgotten all about us? No.
It is during these times, God will show us we can trust in and lean on His love for us. As we stand in God’s grace, we will grow in our knowledge of the love of Christ.
When God is silent, do not trust in your feelings. Trust in what God says. His word is filled with lovingkindness, tender mercies, goodness, patience, longsuffering and grace. All those characters are an expression of God’s love.
14 Bible Verses on God’s Love for Us
Psalm 13 1-6 NASB1995 1 How long, O Lord? Will You forget me forever? How long will You hide Your face from me? 2 How long shall I take counsel in my soul, Having sorrow in my heart all the day? How long will my enemy be exalted over me? 3 Consider and answer me, O Lord my God; Enlighten my eyes, or I will sleep the sleep of death, 4 And my enemy will say, “I have overcome him,” And my adversaries will rejoice when I am shaken. 5 But I have trusted in Your lovingkindness; My heart shall rejoice in Your salvation. 6 I will sing to the Lord, Because He has dealt bountifully with me.
Psalm 36:7-10 NASB1995 7 How precious is Your lovingkindness, O God! And the children of men take refuge in the shadow of Your wings. 8 They drink their fill of the abundance of Your house; And You give them to drink of the river of Your delights. 9 For with You is the fountain of life; In Your light we see light. 10 O continue Your lovingkindness to those who know You, And Your righteousness to the upright in heart.
Psalm 37:7-9 7 NASB 7 Rest in the LORD and wait patiently for Him; Do not get upset because of one who is successful in his way, Because of the person who carries out wicked schemes. 8 Cease from anger and abandon wrath; Do not get upset; it leads only to evildoing. 9 For evildoers will be eliminated, But those who wait for the LORD, they will inherit the land.
Zephaniah 3:17 NASB “The LORD your God is in your midst, A victorious warrior. He will rejoice over you with joy, He will be quiet in His love, He will rejoice over you with shouts of joy.
John 15:13 KJV Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.
Romans 5:8 NASB But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
Ephesians 2:4-7 NASB 4 But God, being rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, 5 even when we were dead in our wrongdoings, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved), 6 and raised us up with Him, and seated us with Him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, 7 so that in the ages to come He might show the boundless riches of His grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus.

Ephesians 3:16-19 NASB 16 that He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with power through His Spirit in the inner self, 17 so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; and that you, being rooted and grounded in love, 18 may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the width and length and height and depth, 19 and to know the love of Christ which surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled to all the fullness of God.
Who is Paul in the word of God? …Paul did not always see Jesus as someone worthy to be known. Paul came from a background filled with honorary heritage. He followed the law and trusted in his own righteousness… read Saul Becomes Paul
“The Love of God”
1 John 4:8-10 NASB1995 8 The one who does not love does not know God, for God is love. 9 By this the love of God was manifested in us, that God has sent His only begotten Son into the world so that we might live through Him. 10 In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins.
